There are many stock phrases used in this show. It’s important to have them be somewhat consistent so that they can be recognized when they pop up from time to time, and since they are often brought up in different contexts that totally change their meaning, it’s important that they be translated in a way that allows for all the different potential meanings. A fair amount of work has gone into making that happen, mostly in the form of editing S1’s translation to be consistent with DameDesuYo’s S2-S4 translations, but sometimes also by editing DDY’s scripts to match Funimation’s translations. Terminology is consistent with DDY.
