Yes, all current FLCL Blu-Rays are AI upscaled and look not too pretty to eyes. The only advantage is that seems they are upscaled from uncompressed source and and have no blocky artifacts on fast scenes.
In opposite all FLCL DVDs have blocky artifacts. Both Blu-Ray and DVD versions in some scenes have additional jagged edges artifacts that seems like came from original master copy and can’t be removed with deinterlacing.
