Isn’t sam better? And hadn’t you already made a dual audio version of that? Yeah, sam is much better in the comps. Also obgligatory:
Shouldn’t it be 384kbps for 5.1?
Simplistic
Apparently 256 is fine for 5.1 but anything under 384 gets sussy to me, even though I’d probably fail horribly at an abx
matheousse
average bitrate of the English track doesn’t even exceed 300kbps, setting it at 384 wouldn’t change anything, or maybe like inaudible bits so who cares (except lossless coomers)
Simplistic
there’s that too lmao
got curious and compared bitrates for 256 vs 320 on a different 5.1 track

FLAC’s clearly better since there’s no cutoff.
Interruptor
flac is still bad, use uncompressed WAV or AIFF or stfu.
herkz
lossless audio is for nerds

Sam is not better. Are you blind not seeing all the sharpening and artefacts it created particularly aliasing and ringing.
FortressMaximus
Why so much audio bandwidth, when we could have gone with lossy 1 bit/s static instead, for all the whiners out there with $1 headphones, that can’t hear the difference between a mosquito and the opening song?

Beatrice always has better AA. That’s the only thing Jensen cares about. You can clearly see that details are much more defined and visible in Sam’s encode. And he used AA as well, just not as strong. It has no AA unless you zoom in 300x. No one watched anime zoomed in 300x.
peanutbutt69
you’re so retarded it hurts

There seems to be a subtitle offset of 1 frame on at least episodes 1 & 2
