For its holiday release, Orphan presents the first English version of the 1985 OVA Karuizawa Syndrome, a sexy, seinen slice-of-life. Like many Orphan projects, this one has a rather checkered history. Its original release included some live-action sequences of nude AV actresses. These didn’t have much to do with the story, so in 1986, an anime-only version was released on VHS tape and then offered on DVD in 2002. That’s the version Orphan has used; sorry, AV fans. fong encoded the raw. For more details, see this blog entry.

The older release contained more animated nude sequences that got apparently cut out of the DVD. Too bad you didn’t use it. There is a bad quality raw version on vimeo, so one can watch the missing scenes.

Day in the life of [Orphan]:

Wakes up
Releases unfinished Adachi Mitsuru work
Goes out for coffee and saves 100 children from burning building on the way
Releases never before translated Nishikubo Mizuho work while at the coffee shop
Heads home, stopping briefly to prevent a car crash by physically getting in between two moving vehicles and stopping the collision with bare hands

Also, just out of curiosity, why was Hiatari Ryoukou released under an Anononymouse Nyaa Account instead of your @archivisth account?

@Zorlaf are the nude scenes really so important that they should have used a lower quality rip? I feel like we got more than enough in this version.
