![](https://cdn-eu.anidb.net/images/main/263946.jpg) Let me preface this description by saying: FUCK SHARPENING, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, FUCK HALOING. For a while now, Doga Kobo has had this nasty habit of performing an atrocious amount of post-processing on their anime after upscaling. Especially filtering that causes very strong haloing, which is an artefact that is notoriously hard to get rid of without damaging the video quality to some extent (and even protective masks don't often play nicely, because they're prone to missing haloing near intersecting lines). Furthermore, removing them often makes the video look a *lot* blurrier (which some mouth breathers use as proof that some filtered encodes look worse than the source...). You simply can't win when it comes to haloing, so if any video editors working for them somehow read this description, please knock it off. Thank you. :) Oh, also stop splicing the NCs and episodes together on your blu-rays. Thanks again. Due to the aforementioned heavy post-processing, this show is virtually impossible to descale (much less to accurately determine the native resolution to begin with). My assumptions are 810p based on previous Doga Kobo works, but there's no way to be sure without background info. Filtering included a 3-way dehalo method (limited edge blurring + heavy edge denoising + awarp EdgeCleaning, all masked), with two cuts that were very clearly intended to be halo'd for effect preserved from this filtering. This was then followed by the regular denoising, decsize, AA, debanding, and graining. I also applied very weak line darkening because the dehaloing was so strong that a few lines got a bit brighter as a result. Also again, ***FUCK SHARPENING, AND FUCK HALOING.*** Requests are welcome, but don't count on me to follow through with yours from the get-go. A sheet with links to all my releases, as well as OP/EDs I plan on encoding, can be found [here](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VYJymlJMgQG36upLIT_P_evI5mUkEYnmAcg06Z0P28U/edit?usp=sharing) (not guaranteed to be up-to-date).
